How does JamesEdition Moderation work?
At JamesEdition, we care a great deal about the quality of our listings. We want to make sure the expectations of our affluent buyers match the reality; and, therefore, carefully filter all items listed on the website.
Moderation also helps sellers to improve their listings and attract even more buyers.
Our moderation rules
We constantly monitor our rules, edit them, and add new ones.
Here is a general overview of our rules:
We don't allow:

Listings that contain copyright infringement (using copyrighted content on a website without permission from the copyright owner. Please always use media materials that you have the right or permission)

Listings that include less than 2 images

Listings that contain images with text

Listings with faces in the images (unless it is not an art object)
- Already sold listings
There are also several specific moderation rules that our platform applies to Real estate category listings:
- We only advertise residential properties, any commercial property will be moderated as soon as it is detected by the platform.
- Minimal sale price of any property on JamesEdition must be higher than 490 000 US dollars. Euro and other currency price will depend on the current exchange rate.
- Every listing must have at least 2 pictures of high quality and resolution, showing your luxury property in the best light. (We do not accept pictures of ruins or buildings in decay, properties dedicated for extreme or moderate renovation or pictures with high quantities of personal belongings or domestic and wild animals).
Please keep these criteria in mind before uploading your properties.
What happens if your listing is declined?
When you create a listing, it is moderated automatically. Normally, moderation takes a few minutes. If a listing meets all the requirements, it will appear online. If it does not correspond to any of the criteria mentioned above, you will see a notification for why the listing was refused. You can see all notifications in your account section Listings.
Depending on the reason, you will need to edit the listing manually or update your feed, if you uploaded them automatically.
As soon as you update your listing, it will be moderated again; and, if you have eliminated the refusal reason, you will see your listing online.
